On the occasion of election of Gazipur District Lawyers Association, bus No. 5 of the white panel traveling to Cox’s Bazar during the Anand Trip-2023 has met with a serious road accident. Gazipur lawyer Anand Bhraban left for Cox’s Bazar in 18/20 cars with 6 to 7 hundred lawyers yesterday (February 16) at ten o’clock.

30/35 lawyers in the bus were injured in a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction in Banskhali near Cox’s Bazar early this morning. They were later treated in the local hospital.

Former General Secretary of Gazipur District Lawyers Association was injured in the bus. Zakir Uddin Ahmed and former AGS Ed. Rajibul Alam Rakhi and many others were also injured.

Advocate Ali Hossain said that all the lawyers in the bus are now healthy. By God’s grace there was no major damage in the road accident. He said, I wish all the lawyers going to Cox’s Bazar on the Anand trip will enjoy safe and healthy journey.
